Review by Sandip Dev

Complete Organ Works Volume I by Buxtehude, Jørgen Ernst Hansen is an exceptional album that showcases the mastery of one of the greatest composers of the Baroque era. This album features a collection of Buxtehude's most famous works, including his chorale preludes, fugues, and toccatas, all performed brilliantly by Hansen on the organ.

The album is a testament to Hansen's skill as an organist, as he expertly navigates the complex melodies and intricate harmonies of Buxtehude's compositions. His performances are both powerful and delicate, capturing the full range of emotions that Buxtehude intended to convey through his music.

One of the standout pieces on the album is the "Praeludium in E Major," a magnificent work that showcases both Buxtehude's and Hansen's virtuosity on the organ. The piece begins with a majestic opening theme that builds in intensity before giving way to a series of intricate variations that demonstrate the full range of the organ's capabilities.
